Charlene Ripley
Ms. Charlene Ripley is a corporate director, who has served on the board of Keyera Corp since 2017, and currently chairs the Governance and Sustainability Committee. Keyera is a midstream energy company headquartered in Calgary, Alberta. Ms. Ripley is also the national board chair of Heart & Stroke Canada.
She was formerly Teck Resources’ EVP and Chief Legal and Sustainability Officer. Before her time with Teck Resources, Ms. Ripley held the roles of Executive Vice-President and General Counsel of SNC-Lavalin (now Atkins-Realis) and Executive Vice-President, General Counsel at Goldcorp. Ms. Ripley led Goldcorp’s Legal, Ethics and Compliance, and People teams, as well as risk functions including Internal Audit, Enterprise Risk Management and Insurance.
Prior to this, Ms. Ripley also served as SVP & General Counsel at Linn Energy (Houston) and as VP General Counsel, Corporate Secretary and Chief Compliance Officer at Anadarko Petroleum Corporation (Houston). Throughout Ms. Ripley’s career, spanning more than 35 years, she has led enterprise functions including information technology, corporate affairs, and government relations, and has supported several multi-million and billion-dollar growth transactions.
Ms. Ripley holds a Bachelor of Arts, with distinction, from the University of Alberta, and earned her law degree from Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia. She is a member of the Law Societies of British Columbia and Alberta, as well as the Texas State Bar.
In 2025 Ms. Ripley was awarded the King Charles III’s Coronation Medal for her service with Heart & Stroke Canada.
